About me
Act 1 is a trio, known as a new Bell Biv DeVoe, collection of 3 young black teenage singers, including lead singers Antonio Stith, and Desmond Dennis and rapper Marcus Bell. Like the BBD before them, Act 1 wants to be a pop phenomenon. The group was formed by Desmond Dennis, Antonio Stith and Judah Jamison on November 9th 2007. Judah quit the group because of a big argument between him and Desmond. There early choreographer, Alfonso Dennis (Desmond’s brother), gave them the name, ‘Act 1.’ Looking for a replacement, Desmond soon brought his good child-hood friend Marcus Bell in the group rounding out the group’s line up.
