GRASSROOTS DUBSTEP PANEL

This November NICK ARGON (USA), BUN ZERO (BELGIUM), WILL BLAZE & THC (UK) and TWISTED (GERMANY) will compile an EP of progressive dubstep from the most original and outstanding carbon logic uploads.

They aim to unearth the unsung music worming its way out of the insides of the current international dubstep scene - from the USA, via the UK, through Belgian canals and beyond the shores of Germany.

NICK ARGON (USA):

San Francisco’s Nick Argon is the founder of what is arguably America's biggest Dubstep record label, Argon Records.
Nick has been releasing huge track after huge track, gaining support by everyone from Skream to Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs.

Argon Records began life as a Drum and Bass label, until release number six saw a move into Dubstep.
To date Argon Records has released tracks from the likes of Babylon System, Clouds, Matty G, Loefah and Tes la Rok.
While producing some Dubstep classics along the way Argon continues to break new ground and push Dubstep's ever widening boundaries.
Nick Argon's A&R skills, needless to say, are on point. Bring on Arg023!!!!

BUN ZERO (BELGIUM):

Bun-Zer0 has been DJing in his native Belgium and internationally for over 15 years, including recent performances at the legendary FWD>> in London. His interest in dubstep began after hearing early music from Horsepower Productions.
In 2006, to spread his enthusiasm for this emerging sound, Bun began promoting nights at the Beursschouwburg, introducing a wide array of UK pioneers, including Skream, Youngsta, Loefah and Mark One.

As a DJ, Bun-Zer0 has supported many of the scene's top artists, and is one of the best known dubstep DJs outside of the UK.
He hosts an award winning weekly show on the original dubstep radio station, Sub.fm.
Bun's show has a huge following, expertly blending fresh tunes from the scene's big hitters, as well as unknown up and comers.
The accompaniment of harmonica player Mr Jo gives the show a unique touch !

Bun writes for music magazine Rif Raf and compiled the CD 'SubStance' for Aecletrik Records, showcasing the diverse sound of international dubstep. In January 2009 Bun released Psychedelic Flu and Loneliness, two pieces of broken Dubstep on BASS TOURIST.
With further international bookings as well as exciting lineups at his own nights, 2009 is set to see Bun-Zer0 cement his reputation as one of the scene's best-loved and most well-respected DJs.

WILL BLAZE & THC (UK):

3.5 Records was founded in Reading in 2006 by up and coming DJs THC & Wil Blaze. They quickly made their mark on the scene with heavyweight releases from artists like N-Type, Tes La Rok, Afterdark, Vista and Cyrus from Random Trio.
A sister label, 10 Bag, was spawned in the summer of 2007, putting out bangers from artists like Babylon System, Stenchman, Itchy Robot and 12th Planet. With a host of quality artists and tunes forthcoming through the two imprints, things are only set to grow bigger in 2009 for the 3.5 camp.

TWISTED (GERMANY):

Twisted is a member of German Dubstep collective Dutty Dubz. Together they are responsible for releasing a large number of tracks on labels such as Skream’s Disfigured Dubz and Rossi B and Luca’s (Kiss FM) Heavy Artillery.
Twisted began his foray into the world of DJ’ing in 1993 through his love of Drum and Bass. He made the logical progression to making his own music on computers in 2003.
It wasn’t until old school friend Rumble suggested that they make some Dubstep that Twisted decided to slow the tempo and up the bass.
Dutty Dubz were born and have progressed ever since representing Germany’s Dubstep scene in a big way!!!!
