Competition

WIN 2 days recording at Snorkel Studios, London.

Every 3 months, the best track, as chosen by our guest judge, will win a 2 day recording session at a professional recording studio.

The winner's session for our 3rd carbon logic competition will be held at Snorkel Studios, the London recording HQ of Slowfoot Records.

Snorkl Studios

Snorkel Studios:

"No sterile digital cleanroom, more Dr Jekyll's laboratory, Snorkel Studios is tucked away in a maze of corridors in a light industrial graveyard. Listening to its analogue-era inhabitants belching and bubbling away, conjures up images of steaming flasks of green and purple potions, linked by miles of glass tubing and rubber bungs, puffs of steam and smoke rising up to the ceiling. The sound comes from a place where the obsessed work through the night. A unique alchemy seems to seep from every note and beat."

Snorkl Studios

Slowfoot Records:

Run by Frank Byng and 129, Slowfoot Records is a young, south-london based label exploring the boundaries between pop and experimental music.

Their roster has so far seen releases from electric tubaist Oren Marshall and cult folk-hop band Charley Marlowe. 2007 sees a string of scheduled releases including albums from twisted soul maverick Charles Stuart, afro-kraut improv unit Snorkel and flip-flop mc/producer 129.

Robert Logan's debut album, 'cognessence', is due for release on Slowfoot on 12th February 2007, and has already received glowing reviews in Wire magazine, Q and DJ magazine who called it, "the essential last word in electronic soundscapes" [rated 4.5/5]

carbon logic users might have already chanced upon young Logan's brooding electronica, his track "Sanza" was Runner-Up in the second carbon logic competition in November 2006.
