How come so much trance has no snare drum or clap?

well...i understand. but each tune is a diferent work, and in this case a straight snare or clap would not definitly be the spirit of ligeti. it would destroy or minimize it´s fluydeness, i feel.

Interesting,.. I am a big fan of Debussy- do you know Tomita's album "Snowflakes are Falling"? Caire de Lune etc on Moog Modulars....Ligeti i will have to investigate. Some strange and indeed fluid textures here- my minimal knowledge of trance is psytrance hands-in-the-air stuff so this is a breath of fresh and musical air to me!

i don't know nothing about trance.
however found this track real refreshing.
love the solo synth break around 4 mins.
and then off we go again.
the different sections keep you glued. the moody synth/string interludes work real well, especially when they drop you into a beefy squidge off bass and squeak.
me liking this trance ting if its on this tip.
