never quite sure what 'live recording' means with electronic music- i'm assuming its a live take of effects, mutes etc to dat/cdr. its got a very nice feel this, builds interestingly and non formulaically

No, by live recording I mean:
Computer aided generated musical parameters (in this case the phrase and the synthbass) on the basis of realtime inputs from human interaction which drive a synthesizer( for example raising the probability that a note will come here and not there...) , which is tweaked in the same way, random functions morphing loops, realtime resampling, realtime sampling and looping (the second real electric bass).
The tweaking the effects part is the least, infact there is one delay only.
All the software is "home made".
then recorded on a stereo track.
In Electronic music there are many approaches.
The most common is the "loop and mute" technique.
Which I use of course, but very little.
