You could try a change of mood in the middle. I'm thinking faster funky beats or maybe complely mellow out.

As good as anything I've heard in this stlye.
Nice synth rift, syncopation with the drums in the middle, like listening to two tunes at once, shouldn't work but somehow it does. Made me want to get back to my DAW and cut up my 4/4 drum tracks.
