Description
[Seeing the MPC got props, I thought I'd dig out some more ....]
Recorded, arranged, and mixed using only an MPC2000XL, a Behringer B1 mic, and a recordable CD deck.
There's a certain organic quality to the MPC that is difficult to replicate in a new setup. And I think this is reflected in the music.
It might just be the rubber buttons, mind.

we love the rubber buttons.
there is an immediacy to an mpc that is a thing of beauty.
also it lets you play not program.
i would prefer hitting rubber anytime, over staring at a matrix screen.
pushing bits of graphic about... !
use the ears first.

were you using song mode on the mpc or just switching between arrangements ?
