Description
A 3-part EP condensed into 1 epic for your listening pleasure. All made from field recordings (pardon the pun) taken at the Bestival 2006 festy, the tunes are my homage to the random cool stuff that happens away from the main stages at Bestival, and indeed at all festivals. Tis an iRiver H120 player/recorder as it happens, like an iPod but capable of so much more!... (well, CD quality WAV recordings anyhow). Glad you like the tunes :-)

Be nice to hear some of your tunes remixed dave- your purist approach is admirable and innovative, but some of your fab rhythms cry out for some fat heavy electronic drums and percussion to swoop in and lift them out of the slightly muffly hand held outdoor recorder vibes. This track is a very enjoyable audio scrapbook, definitely captures some besty madness!

I know what you mean. I think I might have got the pure field recordings thing out of my system now and I've been thinking about using a hybrid of found sounds with crisp, fat electronic noises. Or fucking around with the found sounds even more to make them more punchy and banging. Either way I feel some proper dancefloor action is my next challenge!
There was a remix project on Discogs recently that used one of my tunes (see here: http://www.discogs.com/forums/topic?topic_id=103441), some of them are quite banging... And if anyone around these parts fancies some remix swap shop type action (you remix my track, i remix yours) give me a shout!
